The businesses we work with

Advernation works mostly with local trades, and that is no accident. Christopher Maddaloni was an electrician before he started the agency on New Year’s Eve 2007 in Flushing, Queens, and he describes it as serving the businesses he once worked for. This page lists the kinds of business we work with. Each has a page of its own, written for that trade alone.

The services are the same for all of them: SEO, local SEO for the map results, Google Ads, websites and social media. What changes from one trade to the next is how its customers search, and so what gets done first.

Tell us your trade and where you work. If we have a page for it, read that first. If we do not, call anyway.

Contractors and home services

Start with contractor SEO and marketing if you want the principles that hold for every trade: how the results page is built, what Google asks of a contractor’s profile, and how to work out whether the spend is worth it. Then read the page for your own trade.

Electricians

Electrical customers search in two moods: a fault that cannot wait, and an upgrade planned weeks ahead. Both look for a license before they call. This was the founder’s own trade, and the page shows it: electrician SEO and marketing.

Plumbers

Plumbing is among the most urgent searches in the home trades, set off by a burst pipe, a backed-up drain or a failed water heater. Much of it is decided in the three map results and by who answers the phone. The page covers both, and the city rules that create plumbing work: plumber marketing and SEO.

HVAC contractors

Heating and cooling has two busy seasons and a quiet stretch before each. The marketing has to be finished in the quiet stretch, because a page published in a heat wave will not rank during it. The page sets out the calendar and the one HVAC rank report we have shown: HVAC marketing and SEO.

Roofing contractors

A roofer sells two things, a repair needed this week and a replacement decided over a month. Storms bring the first, and they also bring out-of-town crews, so the local roofer’s advantage is trust that can be checked online. License, contract and reviews are the subject of roofing SEO and marketing.

Landscapers, lawn care and tree services

Landscaping customers start looking before the season opens, and they choose with their eyes. Maintenance is route work, so the towns you pick matter as much as the rankings. Project pages, service areas and the off-season calendar are in landscaping marketing and SEO.

Garage door companies

A stuck garage door is searched for from the driveway, and the call goes to a company that looks close and real. Google restricts ads for this trade in the United States and says a company must apply for advanced verification to advertise. That makes the unpaid results the place to start, as explained in garage door marketing and SEO.

Junk removal and dumpster rental

Junk removal customers want a day and a price, and they compare. The larger jobs, estate and eviction cleanouts, are often booked by someone who does not live at the address. A page for each kind of job, and published prices, are the core of junk removal SEO and marketing.

Paving and concrete contractors

Driveways, patios and sidewalks are planned purchases, judged from photographs of finished work and limited to the warm months. In New York City a sidewalk violation notice sends owners searching with a deadline. That page, and a concrete contractor’s result, are in paving marketing and SEO.

Home renovation contractors

Nobody remodels a kitchen tonight. The homeowner researches for months and builds a shortlist without telling anyone on it. Being present through that time, with service pages and write-ups of real projects, is the subject of remodeling marketing and SEO.

Professional practices

Law firms

Every page, profile and ad a law firm publishes is a communication about a lawyer’s services, and the conduct rules of the firm’s state apply to each. The page for firms of any practice area is law firm SEO and marketing.

Personal injury law firms

A law firm’s marketing is governed by rules of professional conduct, and everything we write for one is approved by its lawyers before it is published. We promise no results, and we never take a share of a fee. How the work is done inside those rules is in personal injury lawyer SEO and law firm marketing.

Health and medical

Doctors and medical practices

A practice holds patient information, and privacy law, conduct rules and the ad platforms each limit what may be done and said. How a practice is made easy to find and to choose inside those limits is on healthcare marketing and medical SEO.

Dentists

Dentistry is chosen close to home, so much of it is decided on the map within a few blocks of the office. The page covers families, emergencies and larger treatments: dental marketing and SEO.

Chiropractors

A person in pain searches on a phone, reads a few reviews and checks the hours and the insurance before booking. Being the practice they find is the subject of chiropractor marketing and SEO.

Medical spas

The best-known treatments are prescription drugs and medical procedures, and the ad platforms treat them that way. What can be said, and where, is set out in med spa marketing and SEO.

Plastic surgeons

A surgery patient spends months reading, comparing and checking credentials before asking for a consultation. Pages that hold up to that careful reader are the point of plastic surgeon SEO and marketing.

Property and construction

Real estate agents and brokerages

Real estate advertising runs inside fair housing law, state license rules and platform policies written for housing. Becoming the name found in one neighborhood, within those rules, is covered in real estate marketing and SEO.

Construction companies and home builders

A construction client studies finished projects and checks registration and insurance before inviting a few firms to price the job. Getting onto that short list is the subject of construction marketing and SEO.

Stores and food

Online stores

A store has hundreds or thousands of addresses and usually no map to win, so how the site is built decides what Google reads. Category pages, product pages and product listings are in ecommerce SEO and marketing.

Restaurants

A diner often decides from the map, the photos, the rating and the menu without opening a website. Winning that choice, and taking the booking or order directly, is the subject of restaurant marketing and SEO.

Dispensaries

In the United States Google does not accept ads for cannabis, and Meta does not allow ads that promote THC products, so a dispensary has to be found, not advertised. We publish three monthly plans for that work, at $999, $1,999 and $3,500. The plans, the rules and one result are on the dispensary marketing and SEO page.

Local services

Pest control companies

The customer has just seen something move, searches by the pest and the town, and calls one of three companies on a map. More of those calls reaching your phone is the aim of pest control SEO and marketing.

Moving companies

Nobody hires the first mover they see: they pick two or three, read the reviews and ask each for a price. Being on that short list is what moving company SEO and marketing is about.

Auto repair shops

A driver with a warning light looks at the shops nearest home or work and reads what other drivers wrote. Keeping an independent shop’s bays full is covered in auto repair marketing and SEO.

Locksmiths

Someone locked out calls within a minute, from a map with three names, so a genuine local company has to appear and look real. That, and the slower searches for rekeying, car keys and commercial hardware, is in locksmith SEO and marketing.

Other small businesses

For a business with a small budget and no marketing staff, three things come first: a complete Business Profile, a real page for each thing sold, and honest reviews. The page for everyone not named above is small business SEO and marketing.

Results we can show

Two local rank maps for a windshield search with the rest blacked out, dated Dec 31, 2025 and Jan 2, 2026, the first mostly yellow and the second mostly green
Local rank grids for a “windshield” search (the rest of the keyword hidden) on December 31, 2025 and January 2, 2026. Average rank 6.71, then 3.54. High positions 2%, then 72%. Client not named.

Two of our published case studies are contractors. Corpus Christi Concrete Guys had keywords on the second to fifth pages of Google and saw them reach the top five positions within two months. Golden I Construction, a renovation contractor in New York, had a hacked website that we rebuilt in October 2026, rewriting 29 pages and 70 articles and keeping every old address working.

The other three come from outside the trades. Silver Gold Refinery, a client since 2008, reached first place for “Gold Refinery NYC”. Different Roads to Learning saw its organic traffic double in three months. Medlin Ramps went to 3 to 10 leads a day. All five are on the case studies page.

If your trade is not listed

The list above is the trades we have written a page for, not a limit on who we work with. The method is the same for any local business whose customers search before they call. Ask for the free SEO audit: it grades your site and comes back in one to three business days.

On price: the audit is free, Google Ads plans start at $500 per cycle, the dispensary plans are priced above, and there are no contracts. The rest is on the pricing page.

Call us, or ask for the audit, and tell us what kind of work you want more of.

Questions people ask

Does Advernation only work with contractors?

No. Trades are most of what we do because the founder was an electrician and the agency grew up serving them. We also have pages for personal injury law firms and dispensaries, and our case studies include a precious metals refinery, an education products company and a yard ramp company.

Why does each trade have its own page?

Because their customers search differently. A plumber is found in an emergency, a remodeler over months, a landscaper before the season. The work that pays first is different for each, so the pages are too.

Do you work with businesses outside New York City?

Yes. Our office is in Manhattan and our clients are around the country. One of the contractors in our case studies is in Corpus Christi, and our dispensary result is from Torrance, California.

Do you sell leads?

No. We do not sell leads. Our work brings calls and requests directly to your own number and website, through SEO, the Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google’s pay-per-lead ads, and the rankings, reviews and ad account stay yours.
