Advernation is a video marketing agency for brands that want short-form video made by a creator, not read from a teleprompter. Christopher Maddaloni Jr., whose YouTube channel ChrisTheSurfer has nearly a million subscribers, leads the work. We plan, film, edit and post shorts for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok, from $5,000 a month.

Four how-tos and product picks from his own channel, each under half a minute, watched nearly 13 million times between them. Press one to play it here. The view counts are YouTube’s own, read on October 11, 2026.
What a video marketing agency does, and how ours works
A video marketing agency plans, makes and publishes video so that a business gets found and remembered, then reports what the video did. Ours makes one kind: short-form video. YouTube describes Shorts as short-form videos of up to three minutes, uploaded as vertical videos, and the same upright cut goes to Instagram Reels and TikTok. Each video also becomes a written page on your own website.
The difference is who makes it. A creator builds a video backwards from the viewer: a hook in the first second, one idea, and a reason to watch to the end. That is the habit Christopher Maddaloni Jr. brings from his own channel, and it is what we apply to your product or your shop.
People look for this work under several names: a UGC agency, YouTube channel management, a YouTube content agency. The three plans below cover all of them, and the sections further down say how.
Video marketing plans and prices
There are three plans, and each price is where a month starts. Your quote depends on what you sell, where we film and how much editing the idea takes.

A 90-day launch, then month to month
Video starts with a 90-day launch: three months of the plan you pick, bought as one package. One month of video tells you very little, because an audience builds over months, so we do not sell a single month as a test.
After the launch the plan runs month to month, and you can stop at the end of any month. The launch is a paid package with a beginning and an end. It is not a term contract. That keeps the promise made everywhere else on this site: no contracts, and pricing upfront.
How a month of short-form video runs
- Plan. We agree the month’s videos before anything is filmed: the ideas, the hook for each one and a shot list. The ideas come from what your customers search for and ask, which is research our SEO work already does.
- Film. Where we can be there in person, the month’s footage is shot in one day. Elsewhere you film from the shot list.
- Edit. Each short is cut upright, captioned and kept to one idea.
- Check. You see every cut before it is posted.
- Post. We post the shorts to YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok through the month.
- Write. Each video becomes a written post on your own website.
- Report. At the end of the month you get a report: what was posted, what was watched and what we will do next.
What a shoot day is
A shoot day is one day of filming that supplies the whole month. Christopher Maddaloni Jr. comes to your shop, your studio or the street your product belongs on, with the shot list we agreed, and films every video on it. This is what we need from you on the day.
- The product, in the colors and sizes we planned to show.
- A place to film, and permission to film there.
- One person who can say yes or no on the spot.
- Anyone who will be on camera, told in advance and willing.
Nobody reads from a teleprompter. If you or your staff are in a video, it is because you are doing the thing the video is about.
Where we film: New York City in person, anywhere by shot list
In-person shoot days are in New York City. Our office is at 1115 Broadway in Manhattan, and the agency began in Queens.
If you are somewhere else, you film and we do the rest. Christopher Jr. writes the shot list, shot by shot, with how to hold the phone and what to say. You or someone on your team films it and sends the footage, and our team edits, posts and writes from there.
Who this is for
It is for a business whose product can be shown in under a minute.
- Consumer brands in his world: bikes, apparel, sneakers and drinks. Things that are ridden, worn or held, and that look like something on camera.
- New York local businesses: a restaurant, a shop, a gym, a barber, a showroom. Anywhere a camera can walk in and show what the place is like.
- Brands that already post and want their videos to look less like advertisements.
It is not for everyone. If what you sell is software, and the video you need is a screen recording with a voice over it, another kind of studio will serve you better.
Every video also becomes a page on your website
A video on YouTube or TikTok lives on someone else’s platform. So for each video we also write a post on your own site: the question the video answers, the answer in words, and the video set in the page.
| The video | The post we write from it | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it lives | On YouTube, Instagram and TikTok | On your own website, at an address you own |
| How people find it | In the Shorts, Reels and TikTok feeds, and in YouTube search | In Google’s ordinary results, for the question the video answers |
| What it is made of | A hook, one idea, picture and sound | The same idea in words: the question, the answer and the steps |
| What it is good at | Being watched and shared | Being found by someone who is searching, and being quoted |
Why a page as well as a video: what Google says
We do it because Google treats the two differently. Its guidance on video says that a watch page is a page whose main purpose is to show a single video, and that a blog post with a video set in it is not one. So each does its own job: the video can be found as a video where it is hosted, and the post can be found as a page.
The same holds for AI answers. Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode: a page has to be indexed and able to show a snippet. Among its best practices it lists supporting your text with high-quality images and videos. A written post puts the video’s answer into words, where a search engine can read it.
This is where video meets the rest of what we do: AI search optimization and SEO in New York. Google promises no position and no place in an AI answer, and neither do we.

What he films, and what a brand gets from it
He films bikes: wheelies, big BMX-style bikes, e-bikes, builds and how-tos. His videos include a series filmed in the Bronx and rides through Times Square. The channel opened in May 2013, and one of its Shorts, She couldn’t do this bike trick, has been watched more than 39 million times. In the photograph at the top of this page he is holding a YouTube creator award plaque.
What a brand gets from that is practice. More than 800 videos is a long time spent learning which first second keeps a viewer and which loses one, on a subject nobody has to watch. The service is new, so this page shows no client videos and names no brand: the work shown here is his own.
Longer videos, for a channel of your own
The Channel plan adds two long videos a month. These two are from his channel: a bike build that went wrong and a test of how much a bike can take, each told as a story with a beginning and an end.
YouTube channel management
YouTube channel management is the running of a channel as well as the making of its videos. In the Channel plan we do both: 20 shorts and 2 long videos a month, with their titles, thumbnails and descriptions, the upload calendar and the monthly report. If you were searching for a YouTube content agency, this is the plan you were looking for.
The channel stays yours. YouTube lets a channel’s owner give other people a role on it, such as Manager or Editor, without sharing a password or the Google Account, and that is how we work on a client’s channel.
UGC agency, production company or creator-led agency
UGC stands for user-generated content: video that looks as if a customer or a creator made it, not an advertiser. Brands usually buy video in one of three ways, and they are not the same thing.
| A production company | A UGC creator or marketplace | Advernation video | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who films | A crew, on a booked shoot | A creator, usually at home with a product you mail | A creator, at your place in New York or from your own footage |
| What you get | One finished film, or a few | Clips, raw or lightly edited | 12 to 20 edited shorts a month, and long videos in the Channel plan |
| Posting | Usually yours to do | Usually yours to do | Done for you |
| Search | Not part of the job | Not part of the job | A written post on your site for each video |
| How it is bought | By the project | By the clip | By the month, from $5,000, after a 90-day launch |
How long video takes, and what we do not promise
Video takes months to build an audience. A new account starts with no viewers, and it takes many videos to learn which ideas your customers will watch. Treat the 90-day launch as the start, not the result.
We promise the work: the videos, the posts and the report, on time. We promise no number of views, subscribers or sales, and no position on Google. Nobody controls what a platform shows to whom, and an agency that promises a figure is guessing.
What this is not
- Not teleprompter explainers or corporate films. If you need a presenter reading a script about software, hire a studio that does that.
- Not television commercials or animation.
- Not a paid post on the ChrisTheSurfer channel. The videos are made for your channels and your website.
- Not advertising management. A short can be run as an ad, and buying the ads is our Google Ads and PPC management work.
Video with SEO, ads and social media
Video is one of the services of a New York agency that started in 2007. These are the pages that continue the subject.
- SEO in New York: the keyword research that decides which questions the videos answer.
- AI search optimization: how the written posts are built to be quoted.
- Social media marketing: the accounts kept up between videos, and the comments answered.
- Google Ads and PPC management: YouTube video ads, when a short has earned a budget.
- Pricing: every price we publish, in one place.

Questions people ask
What does a video marketing agency do?
It plans, films, edits and publishes video for a business, and reports what the video did. Advernation’s video work is short-form: 12 to 20 shorts a month for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok, with a written post on your website for each one.
How much does a video marketing agency cost?
Our three plans start at $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 a month. Each is a starting price, quoted for your business before you pay. Every plan begins with a 90-day launch and then runs month to month, with no contract.
What is a UGC agency, and is Advernation one?
A UGC agency supplies brands with user-generated content: video that looks as if a customer or a creator made it. Our shorts are made by a creator, so they answer that need, and we also edit them, post them and write a page for each.
What is YouTube channel management?
It is the running of a YouTube channel for its owner: planning the uploads, making the videos, and writing the titles, thumbnails and descriptions. Our Channel plan does this from $10,000 a month, with 20 shorts and 2 long videos.
How long is a YouTube Short?
YouTube’s help pages describe Shorts as short-form videos of up to three minutes, uploaded as vertical videos. The four Shorts shown on this page run from 15 to 24 seconds.
How long does short-form video take to work?
Months, not weeks. An audience is built one video at a time, which is why every plan starts with a 90-day launch. We promise the work and the report, and no number of views, subscribers or sales.
Do you guarantee views or subscribers?
No. Nobody controls what a platform shows to whom. What we commit to is the number of videos in your plan, the written posts and the monthly report.
Do we have to be in New York City?
No. In-person shoot days are in New York City. If you are elsewhere, you film from the shot list Christopher Maddaloni Jr. writes for you and send the footage, and our team edits, posts and writes.
Is there a contract?
No. Video starts with a 90-day launch, which is a paid package and not a term contract. After it the plan runs month to month, and you can stop at the end of any month.
Who makes the videos?
Christopher Maddaloni Jr., the founder’s son, leads video at Advernation. His own YouTube channel, ChrisTheSurfer, has nearly a million subscribers and more than 800 videos.
Will our videos be posted on the ChrisTheSurfer channel?
No. The plans are for video on your own channels and your own website. They do not include a post on his channel.
What kinds of business is short-form video good for?
A business whose product can be shown in under a minute: consumer brands such as bikes, apparel, sneakers and drinks, and New York local businesses with a place a camera can walk into.
